About This Content The Edinburgh-Glasgow Expansion Pack is a recreation of the line from Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High, and including the Grangemouth Intermodal terminal and refinery area. Originally dating back to 1842, the line runs through open countryside passing through several stations including Haymarket, Linlithgow, Polmont, Falkirk High and Bishopbriggs, and passes the famous Murrayfield Stadium outside Edinburgh and the world famous Falkirk Wheel. Also included is the Falkirk Grahamston Branch between Polmont and Greenhill Upper Junction and the Class 170 Turbostar DMU. The route features highly-detailed models of both terminus stations, all stations along the line and the expansive intermodal terminal and refinery area, complete with atmospheric sound effects. The Edinburgh-Glasgow Expansion Pack has been developed by Thomson Interactive with a focus on the ‘driver’s eye’ view, all station and line-side features being fully detailed and more distant landscape features represented with simpler detail to improve game rendering performance while driving.IncludesClass 170 DMU.Full Edinburgh to Glasgow via Falkirk High route, with Edinburgh Waverley, Haymarket, Edinburgh Park, Linlithgow, Polmont, Falkirk High, Falkirk Grahamston, Camelon, Grangemouth Intermodal Terminal, Croy, Lenzie, Bishopbriggs and Glasgow Queen Street.Six scenarios plus four free-roams. 6d5b4406ea Title: Train Simulator: Edinburgh-Glasgow Route Add-OnGenre: SimulationDeveloper:Thomson InteractivePublisher:Dovetail Games - TrainsFranchise:Train SimulatorRelease Date: 25 Mar, 2011 Train Simulator: Edinburgh-Glasgow Route Add-On Free Download [portable] train simulator edinburgh-glasgow route add-on. train simulator edinburgh-glasgow route add-on Brilliant DLC even if it is one of the older routes. Lots of detail in the route with things such as the Falkirk stadium and BT Murrayfield modelled. There is also a free extension available on the steam workshop which extends the route from Waverley to Carstairs. The class 170 is beginning to show its age but is still a brilliant DMU, even if it is lacking in features compared to some of the more recently modelled trains. 100% recommend this DLC.. I loved the route for a short time because it apperantly it dosent work it used to work but now it dosont work i would of loved it if i could still play the route but it was good for the time being :(. Really nice route to drive. My only two complaints focus on the Edinburgh Stations. Waverley seems a little lifeless and it is a shame that model at Haymarket has not been updated to reflect some of the changes from the last 4 years. Otherwise, great fun and certainly a route that I'll go back to soon!. It kind of says it on the tin, the route from Edinburgh to Glasgow, with both ways through Falkirk. It's a pretty old route now, and it shows its age.Pros:+Comes with the class 170 pack, which is used a lot in scenarios as AI+It runs very, very well, high FPS+Lots of workshop scenarios availableCons:-It's 6 years old and it shows, the detail is lacking and the textures old-There is little to no distant scenery, so you don't have to move far from the track to find empty green nothingness-It's a bit...dull. There is little of interest on this route and the scenery doesn't compensate at all, making it boring to drive.-It's not even that long, you can drive it in an hour, and it's very linear, with little else to do other than Edinbirgh to Glasgow of Falkirk to one of the aboveOverall, I wouldn't recommend this, it is dull and uninspiring, and unless you're deperate for the class 170, there are better routes out there.. One of only a handful of Scottish routes. Nice scenarios and train-model too.. very nice route to drive on, looks good in any quality, high or low settingsalso there are a vairity of routes you can travel on, great fun. Ok, let's get a few things straight:THIS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!I mean no it isn't.Actually, it's a bit average. It's still a good addition.(I guess that's why it's average; it was released with RailWorks 2.).
